Hi everyone,
Much speculation has occurred on the release of 'Gran Tursimo 5' for the PS3 console. Its release has been delayed several times since the release of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, which is a scaled up version of a demo GT5. The title was meant to hit the market last Christmas, but has now been pushed forward presumably coinciding with the release of Sony's 3D TVs; in which GT5's creators 'Polyphony Digital' are partners with.
In order to prepare for 3D gaming, you will need a 3D ready TV that supports HDMI and a pair of active shutter 3D glasses. This new technology wont come cheap though, also happened by the fact that many consumers will tend to believe that 3D is only a craze that wont last long.
Is Sony heading in the right direction?, we will have to wait and see...
Thomas.

I don't think its the right direction because:
ReplyDelete1. People don't want to wear stupid glasses that need batteries
2. Most gamers have already bought a new HDTV recently and aren't likely to upgrade soon
3. The games have to drop to lower resolutions for 3D because the console has to render 2 full screens of vision at once
